It was a week of struggles...some won, some lost. Neither hubby nor I lost any weight this week, nor did we gain any. We are back with determination this week though, and I hope we can avoid any more chocolate chip cookie/Gramie's tacos fiascos this week!

Well at least you maintained!
You made Gramie tacos this week??? YUMMMY!
Yep, dumb, huh?
We also had some frozen chocolate cookie dough in the freezer that kept calling my name. It won! I was having a massive chocolate craving on Saturday. At least it's gone now...lol.
One meal at a time, Kim. You can do it!
What are Gramie Taco's? I was raised in AZ and thought I knew ALL about tacos! I must have missed something important! Please share!
Well, Gramie is my mom, and it's what we started calling the tacos she makes. They are actually my great-grandmother's way of making tacos, and my mom has been making them this way all her life.
They are NOT traditional, but our family loves them. You spread hamburger meat on half of a corn tortilla, put some garlic salt on the meat, and then fry them, folding in half as you fry. You cook the meat and tortilla at the same time, and somehow they come out very yummy (how could anything that bad for you not taste good, right? LOL). Of course the usual toppings go on after frying.
Sounds awesome...maybe even a new addiction!!! Do you fry in a little oil or deep fry, or what? I have never tried cooking the meat and tortilla together...I am going to try this!
Thanks for sharing!
You fry the meat until it's submerged in oil. LOL. They are sooooooo good! Man, after all this talk, now I'm craving Gramie Tacos. LOL.
Yeah, it's only about a half inch of oil, but I guess it ends up being deep fried! I told you they weren't good for you. :D
Oh, Darcy, don't blow WW like I did last week! I hope all my talk about tacos hasn't made you stumble.
No, I won't make them....because frankly, I HATE the splattered oil mess they make. LOL. There's always still splatter messes even with the little "sheild" your mom uses. But they were good to think about.
Yes, they do mess up the stove top, that's for sure!
